Five players playing last T20 ICC World Cup

Chris Gayle

The “universal bass” of T20 cricket has already announced his retirement from international cricket. Chris Gayle has played his last game in this T20 world cup.

He is representing West Indies from the 2007 T20 ICC world cup. So Gayle played all the T20 world cups. He is one of the best batsmen in T20 cricket.

Gayle holds so many batting records in the T20 ICC world cup. The Universal boss is part of two T20 world cup winning teams for West Indies.

Chris Gayle played a total of 33 matches for the West Indies, and he scored 965 runs. Gayle has two centuries and seven half-centuries in the T20 world cup. He got five Man Of Match Awards also.

Gayle is already 42 years old and announced his retirement from international cricket. So it is expected that we may not see him in the next world cup.

Dwayne Bravo

Dwayne Bravo is one of the best all-rounders in T20 cricket. Like Chris Gayle, Bravo also played all the T20 ICC world cup for West Indies.

Bravo appeared in every game for the West Indies during the 2007 ICC World Cup. He had a poor World Cup, making 129 runs with an average of 21.50 and taking 13 wickets at a strike rate of 27.76 with an economy rate of 5.56.
But Bravo was part of both world cup T20 winning West Indies teams.

He was featured in every game for the West Indies at the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka, which the team won. He played as a batsman for the most in the competition. Because due to an injury that prevented him from bowling.

In the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 in India, West Indies became champion again. Bravo played all the games. One of the key reasons the West Indies won the tournament is because of his excellent death bowling.
Bravo played a total of 34 matches for the West Indies in the T20 world cup.

He bowled a total of 88.4 overs. Bravo considered 763 runs and took 27 wickets. His best bowling is four for 38 against India at Lord’s in the 2009 world cup.

In batting, Bravo had a decent show. In his 31 innings, Bravo scored 530 runs. His highest score is 66 against India in the 2009 world cup. Bravo got two Man Of Match Awards in the T20 ICC world cup.

He is already 38 years old and already announced his retirement from international cricket. So it is expected that we may not see him in Australia next year.

Shoaib Malik

Shoaib Malik, the veteran all-rounder, was selected to Pakistan’s T20 World Cup team at the last minute. Malik was the captain for Pakistan in the 2007 T20 ICC world cup. Although, Pakistan lost to India in the final.

Except for the 2010 T20 world cup, Shoaib Malik played all the T20 world cup for Pakistan. He played a total of 34 matches in the T20 ICC world cup.

Malik is in great touch with the bat. He smashed 18 balls fifty against Scotland. This veteran middle-order batsman equalled Rahul’s record of fastest fifty in this T20 ICC World Cup.

Shoaib Malik was born on 1 February 1982. By the next T20 ICC world cup, he will be around 41. So it is very tough for him to get selected.

Mohammad Hafeez

Like Shoaib Malik, another veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez was also the last-minute included in Pakistan’s T20 ICC World Cup team.

Except for the 2010 T20 ICC world cup, Hafeez played all the T20 ICC world cup for Pakistan. He was captain for Pakistan in the 2012 and 2014 T20 ICC world cup.

With the bat, Hafeez is scoring runs in this T20 ICC world cup. But not like Shoaib Malik.
Mohammad Hafeez is already 41 years old. So it is expected that we may not see him in Australia next year.

Ravichandran Ashwin

Ravichandran Ashwin has not played limited over cricket for India for many years. But he is one of the top performers in IPL. Every year in IPL, Ashwin came with a new variation. That impresses the experts. So he has been selected for India’s T20 ICC world cup 2021 squad.

Ashwin, playing in the T20 ICC world cup since 2010 for India. He had also played the 2012, 2014, 2016 world cups. In the T20 ICC world cup, this off-spinor from Tamilnadu was not the first choice spinor for captain Kohli.

His best bowling figure is against Australia. Ashwin took four for 11 at Shere Bangla National Stadium Dhaka in the 2014 world cup. He got three Man of Match Awards in the T20 world cup.

Ashwin is already 35 years old. By the 2022 T20 ICC world cup, he will be 36. So it is expected that he may not be part of India’s next team.
